Turner's Music: Band and String Instrument Repair!

Turner's Bio Page Two

After graduation, Turner became a mechanic, but wasn't happy with the service his place of work was giving their customers, so he left that establishment and was very lucky to land a job at the legendary Sho-Bud Guitar on Broadway in Nashville, working with some of the finest luthiers in the country. Names like Gene Martin, Onie Wheeler, Bill Merritt, Shot Jackson, George Lewis, and A.J. Nelson were some of his teachers and co-workers.
When Turner left Sho-Bud, he went to work for Cotten Music at Rivergate doing some repair work and retail sales. He eventually bought the store and it became A&M music at Rivergate with a huge repair and retail department. After a serious accident, Turner left his store and recuperated at home for some time and then rented a space at Madison Music from Sam Pugh doing repairs for about 16 years until it closed. He opened and ran his own repair shop in South Madison for 8 years after that.
